Slippy And Alice 2006

Last week I lost Slippy (the orange one). I don't know what happened, she just coiled up and quietly passed away last Thursday.

I lost Alice last summer.

Alice lived to be 20, Slippy 21. I will always miss these gals. They were with me for half my life.

UPDATE 10/20/15: Slippy's necropsy indicated some bleeding in the intestines. Her organs and tissue samples were sent in for tests. Yesterday I got the results. Slippy died of soft tissue sarcoma. She developed it in her intestine as a mass, and it spread to her liver. It is still very sad that she passed, but I now have peace of mind as to what the cause was, and I know it was something I could not possibly have done anything about. It's good to have closure.

Here is hoping that my gals are together again someplace nice, with lots of hiding places, and happy.
